Description
Le Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, surnommé « Warthog », est un avion d'attaque au sol monopilote à réaction développé pour l'US Air Force. En service depuis 1977, il est conçu pour fournir un appui-feu rapproché aux troupes au sol en détruisant blindés, chars et autres forces ennemies. C'est le seul avion de série spécialement conçu pour cette mission.
